Mary Hickman is a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, where she was an Iowa Arts Fellow. She is currently an English Ph.D. candidate at the University of Iowa. A chapbook, Ecce Animot, is forthcoming from Projective Industries in September 2009. She was born in Idaho and grew up in China and Taiwan.
